Waiting to Hurry Up.

I want to write the end of this podcast very properly.  In retrospect, the first thirteen or so chapters spent a lot of time getting to know the characters.  I actually like this, but it was not the purpose of the story.  So I am writing again, just writing, with no pressure on myself to write it fast.  The real-time delay should give way to action, events, and things happening.

It’s time the story showed the full effect of the characters’ actions so far.

I had plans for Trip to go through some things and perform some tasks crucial to the story.  How and why he did them proved to be more interesting than all my best plans to that point.  Committing the pieces of his story to a finished word was amazing.  It was one of those “change things because this is so much better” moments.

I am happy for the time I spent dwelling on Thad and Celia’s marriage.  It was very important for me to write about two people who actually respect each other.  This is reflected in Trip and Sarah’s experience with each other.

Ah, and I am touching on the theme of the entire story.

I hope that you have enjoyed the shorter introduction.  I certainly love hearing it more than the original, longer one.

The story is being finished.  Everything is ocming along nicely.  This will hopefully be faster paced and more fun from here on out.
